COURSE CONTENT
This level 4 Construction Design and Build Technician apprenticeship standard is suitable for those who are going to work for clients, consultancies, and contractors. Construction Design and Build Technicians are associated with the co-ordination of design information on construction projects and are based on construction sites with occasional time in offices. All candidates should have a creative and analytical outlook that can be applied to the workplace.
On programme qualifications:
Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Engineering (Construction and the Built Environment).
The apprenticeship consists of work based and classroom learning to support learners though their on-programme qualifications and end point assessment.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Employment in a suitable role for the chosen apprenticeship is essential. Northern Skills Group will work with applicants to help find a suitable employer where possible, but we advise anyone looking to undertake an apprenticeship to actively seek employment for themselves.
- Applicants are required to have gained a Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE Grades 9-4 / A-C). Certificates will need to be produced at enrolment. If proof cannot be produced or you do not meet these entry requirements, then applicants will be invited to complete an initial assessment prior to acceptance. An interview will take place.
- If you do not have a grade 9 to 4 in English and / or Maths (grade A-C for previous GCSE measures) you will be required to continue studying these subjects.
ASSESSMENT METHODS
This qualification is assessed through a mixture of assignments and exams delivered over 2 year day release.
The EPA (end-point assessment) process consists of an on-line test, submission of a project and professional discussion.
