The £20 million STEM Training Centre, based at the Middlesbrough College campus, is a leading provider of technical training, skills, behaviours and competency solutions for a wide range of industries and specialises in process, oil and gas, supply chain solutions, advanced manufacturing, engineering, design and manufacture, applied science and business improvement.

Inside the STEM Centre
Step inside and you’ll find yourself in a real work environment with high specification equipment that matches that of an industrial setting.
Within this high specification centre, training will be delivered ‘hands-on’ encouraging delegates to share and develop best practices. Utilising an operational production facility, training will focus on the management of work flow processes.

This world-class industrial plan for distillation and 3 phase separation incorporates a fully functional three phase separator for oil, water and gas. Featuring platforms at various heights, columns and vessels interconnected by Kennedy grading, cat ladders and stairs; this unique training facility is modelled on industry standards.

The centre’s logistics facility has been developed to serve the needs of this diverse and expanding industry. With a purpose built logistics yard featuring racking and pallet storage systems, forklift trucks, scissor lifts and an overhead crane; our training portfolio delegates with the latest skills and technology essential for industry.

This state of the are CAD/CAM suite features all the latest software and hardware for computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacture. It provides a front to back process from initial prototype machining through design and manufacture, to proof of concept and production trials. The suite also supports low-volume and prototype production of parts from 3D model to finished parts using the latest CAD/CAM simulation techniques.

These two science laboratories are fully resources and incorporate state of the are instrumentation and fume cupboards. This enables the delivery of wet chemistry and biology as well as quality sampling, testing, and analytical techniques and processes.

Our STEM Conference Centre is the ideal location for your business event, this state-of-the-art space overlooks our replicated industrial site and can be arranged in multiple layouts, ranging from theatre, classroom to boardroom. We also provide additional services including catering and refreshments, Wi-Fi, AV equipment and reception.
