Safeguarding is a set of policies and procedures which ensures any child regardless of their age, gender, ethnicity or religion is protected from harm. Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a part to play in safeguarding.

The Prevent Strategy, first published by the Government in 2011, aims to reduce the threat of terrorism to the UK by identifying when people may be vulnerable or susceptible to extremism and radicalistion and preventing that from happening. Our staff have all undergone the appropriate training and have a good understanding of the factors that may lead to people being vulnerable to being drawn to terrorism and are able to provide help and support when needed.

Northern Skills has a dedicated Safeguarding team and trained professionals available to provide support to students, families and employers and offer guidance. If for any reason you believe a student may be in danger or does not feel safe, please contact a member of our Safeguarding Team immediately.

You can do this a number of ways;
