We caught up with Morgan Venus about her Dental Nursing Apprenticeship at Carew Dental in Gateshead!

She said: “Before finding this apprenticeship, I was studying Health and Social Care at Sixth Form. I started looking for apprenticeship vacancies in the industry and came across the role at Carew Dental.

“It’s really interesting and every day feels new and different. I’m learning all sorts of skills, but I think the most important thing has been how to put each patient at ease. Sometimes people will come to their appointment feeling really anxious, and I’m able to help them leave feeling confident with their smile – it’s really rewarding.

“When I finish the apprenticeship, I want to build my skills and experience in dental nursing for a few years, and then I think I want to progress to dental therapy. Until then, I plan on completing short courses to advance my skills and get the most out of my career.

“I would 100% recommend the Dental Nursing Apprenticeship to anyone. I absolutely love it!”
