In response to the success of their 2019 netball competition and recent 5 a side tournament, Middlesbrough College are calling upon employers to once again put themselves forward and take part in an exciting sporting event to help raise funds for MFC Foundation.

A business netball tournament will be held at Middlesbrough College on Friday 28th October to help raise vital funds for MFC Foundation. The event will not only be a great way to support this local charity, it will also provide employers a fantastic opportunity to network with other businesses in the region and most importantly – have fun!

Pete Donnelly, Head of Business Development at Middlesbrough College Group, is excited to be involved:

“We saw incredible success from the 5-a side tournament we held at the College in April so it was a no brainer to partner with MFC Foundation again. It’s such a fun day for all involved and all employers take the tournament very seriously – they want to come home with that trophy!

“All we ask for is a donation of £250 from each team with 100% of the donation going to MFC Foundation to support their incredible work.”

Middlesbrough Football Club Foundation work in some of the most disadvantaged areas of Teesside, engaging with those who are hard to reach through the delivery of exciting sport, education and health inclusion projects.

There are only 16 team slots available for the tournament and employers are encouraged to act fast.

“In 2019 the tournament was fully booked up within a week – we hope to see the same this year!”
