JOB DUTIES

  • To provide a warm professional welcome and a fond farewell, to all guests.
  • Take control of shift operations, relating to Food & Beverage areas, ensuring these areas are manned at all times and providing a thorough handover at the end of the shift.
  • Ensure all customers are served in a prompt & professional manner, following core standards closely.
  • Give appropriate and professional guidance on menu and beverage selection through a full knowledge of the current menu.
  • Adhere to the highest standards of cleanliness through the correct completion of cleaning and closedown schedules, ensuring all Food & Beverage areas are always clean and ready for service.
  • Follow cash handling procedures, input all items requested into the till system, present correct billing and take payment correctly.
  • Thorough understanding of the legalities of selling alcohol and licensing rules.
  • Total awareness and understanding of H&S and Food Hygiene procedures relating to the Food and Beverage areas.
  • To assist in the setting up of the Restaurant/bars/conference/function rooms to company standard.
  • To maximise selling opportunities using the sales culture.
  • Proactively seek customer feedback & ensure any negative comments are resolved or communicated to a Duty Manager at the earliest opportunity.
  • To report maintenance issues promptly to Duty Manager and make the area safe as necessary.
  • To participate fully in reviews, meetings and training
  • To comply with any other reasonable request made by the management team

For example, if you already have a Level 4 qualification you still may be able to complete an apprenticeship at any level providing you meet the eligibility criteria and are learning substantive new skills.     NATIONAL MINIMUM WAGE

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £4.30 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £6.56 an hour for 18-20 year olds, £8.36 for anyone aged 21-22 and £8.91 for anyone aged 23 and over.

    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
