“I have always really enjoyed cooking for myself so this seemed like a great option after school. I wasn’t too keen on being stuck in the classroom and knew I wanted to do something more hands on. The apprenticeship made so much sense, I could get the practical skills I needed and get paid. 

“I work at The Crown in Kirklevington and absolutely love it there, I work different shifts each week and am learning so much on the job, something I would never get in a classroom. 

“My tutor at college is brilliant, we get on really well and he is always on hand to offer advice and guidance.”
