“Our main office is based in Gateshead; however, we have a second office based within Teesside University and thought it would be a good idea to take on some additional students from Middlesbrough to complete placements with us here.
We were invited to a careers event at Middlesbrough College, where we spoke to Kevin Jeffrey and some students at the college who we found really useful when making the decision to take on T-Level students. By having a close relationship with the colleges already through placements and work experience, we were able to gain easy information surrounding T-Levels and how they could too benefit our business.
We now currently have 3 T-Level/Work Placement students from Middlesbrough College, who are a few weeks into their projects, but we also have students from 2 other colleges in the area to support.
We feel these students have been great benefits to our business, helping us to understand the ever-growing industry we are in and what current students are being taught around new innovations and technologies. We think this will become really helpful when we look to hire graduates in the coming years, as we will know what they are already knowledgeable in.
The T-Level placement process has definitely helped us feel ahead of the game, we have gained a lot, plus throughout the process the college have been extremely supportive to both us and the students.”
