TVCA Apprenticeship Support for Employers

The Tees Valley Grant for Employers (TVAGE) has launched a new scheme grant for SMEs in the Tees Valley area who are employing an apprentice aged 19 +. To receive the grant employers will be required to employ an apprentice for the duration of their apprenticeship training (minimum 12 months) and pay at least the National Apprenticeship Minimum Wage.

There are two funding schemes available to support employers who are committed to creating opportunities for apprentices. 

Grant A: £2,500

This grant is applicable to small to medium sized organisations who employ an apprentice aged 19 or over.

Grant B: £500

This grant is applicable to businesses who employ less than 50 staff and recruit a new apprentice ages 19-24 years old. An additional £500 will be awarded if the apprentice continues to be employed within the business more than 13 months after the date of starting their apprenticeship.

    Skills Support for the Workforce

    Available to businesses with fewer than 250 employees, this support is designed to help individuals up-skill and improve their knowledge or for employees who need to fill a skills gap. Through the Skills Support for the Workforce Grant Northern Skills Group can offer you and your workforce a complete and tailored training solution aligned to your individual business needs.
