Lean Manufacturing Operative Apprenticeship – Level 2

Course will cover:

• Understand preparation, control, contribution, and completion of various manufacturing processes.
• Gain in-depth knowledge of standard operating procedures for efficient and consistent production.
• Adhere to all safety policies and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) effectively.
• Apply the 5S methodology to ensure proper waste disposal and comply with environmental regulations.
• Develop proficient use of equipment, tools, and machinery for precise operation.
• Implement continuous improvement practices like Kaizen and lean principles, actively seeking solutions to optimize processes.
• Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure products meet all specifications and standards.

Employment in a suitable role for the chosen apprenticeship is essential. Northern Skills will work with applicants to help find a suitable employer where possible but we advise anyone looking to undertake an apprenticeship to actively seek employment for themselves.

Learners aged 16-18 should have achieved Grade 3 or above (or Level 1 Functional Skills) in English and maths.

Learners aged 19+ should have achieved Grade 3 or above (or Level 1 Functional Skills) in English and maths.

Certificates will need to be produced at enrolment. If proof cannot be produced or you do not meet these entry requirements, then applicants will be invited to complete an initial assessment prior to acceptance. An interview will take place.

This qualification is assessed through aportfolio of evidence.
