Course overview

As an Information Communications Technician (ICT) the apprentice will learn how to provide
support to internal and/or external customers, by using tools or systems to problem solve and
trouble-shoot routine and non-routine problems.

This includes supporting clients/customers with their digital systems. The apprentice will monitor and maintain the systems and/or platforms to maximise productivity and user experience.

Although there are no specific on-line qualifications required the apprentice will choose to attend either CompTia or CISCO training sessions.

The ICT apprenticeship consists of three pathways. The most suitable pathway will be discussed with the apprentice and employer depending on the job role. The pathways are as follows:

  • Support Technician
