Engineering maintenance technicians work in industries such as energy, manufacturing, utilities, and entertainment, maintaining equipment and systems used in daily operations. They follow a core programme and specialise in one area: electrical, mechanical, or control and instrumentation, depending on their role and career focus.
Their job is to keep equipment running safely and efficiently through planned maintenance and by responding to faults when they occur. They work alone or as part of a team, alongside engineers and other staff, and follow strict health, safety, and environmental rules.
This apprenticeship is offered as a single discipline and dual discipline.
