The Digital Apprenticeship Service

The DAS helps you to recruit apprentices to support your business.

The Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) is designed to help employers access new apprenticeship standards, training providers, and funding for apprenticeships through an online service account.

Initially introduced in 2017 for levy-paying customers to access funds, search for training providers, and view their levy payments, DAS is now accessible to every apprenticeship employer in England, including SMEs. This means that all employers can now control how they pay for apprenticeship training, assess and recruit learners.

If you pay the apprenticeship levy, you can access your ‘levy allowance’ of £15,000 to offset against your contribution to apprenticeship training costs. This allowance can be spent on training from government-approved providers for both new and current employees.

DAS empowers employers by allowing them to access funding for apprenticeship training, choose the type of apprenticeships they want to run, determine the number of apprenticeships, and select the training provider that best suits their needs.

Employers can set up an account with DAS to view all apprenticeship standards ready for delivery, explore training providers, and access available funding. Detailed instructions on how to register and use the service are available on gov.uk.

Once the account is created, employers can forecast and utilise levy funds, set up other users, manage apprenticeship delivery, view payments made to training providers, monitor their balance, and stop or pause payments as needed.
