Construction Contracting Operations Technicians support projects in areas such as estimating, planning, buying, site work, quantity surveying, and design and build. They may work on a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, industrial, and public sector, in both office and site environments, often alongside teams from different specialisms across the supply chain.
The role involves using digital tools and systems to help plan, deliver, and complete construction projects. Technicians analyse and manage project information, support teams with documentation, and communicate with internal colleagues and external partners to keep projects on track, on time, and within budget. They also follow health, safety, and environmental standards, identify risks, and solve problems as they arise, while building transferable skills that apply across many construction roles and organisations
